Italy’s first national specialist school inaugurated in Rome.
The training offer is aimed at staff from the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Transport, local administrations, law enforcement bodies carrying out inspection, verification and anti-crime duties — including in the areas of nature and biodiversity — as well as university students and recent graduates. Training is also open to external parties and various stakeholders for constructive dialogue and exchange between the Public Administration, businesses and the third sector.
The course areas — which will be held in Rome at the Palazzo delle Scienze, previously the home of the Luigi Pigorini National Museum of Prehistory and Ethnography — will cover the full breadth of environmental knowledge: from the protection, conservation, restoration and enhancement of ecosystems to sustainable development and the circular economy; from climate change to earth observation, including with the aid of artificial intelligence for the development of predictive models. Considerable attention will also be devoted to hydrogeological instability and the remediation and restoration of contaminated sites.
