Almaviva Blu Race 2025

Almaviva-Blu-Race 2025

The second edition of the regatta brought together three generations of athletes and paired the competition with a public programme on sustainability themes.

On 28 September, the second edition of the Almaviva Blu Race took place, organised by piùblu ets with the support of Almaviva.

The regatta involved mixed crews composed of athletes from three generations, reaffirming the connection between rowing, participation and environmental awareness. Alongside the competition, the event hosted Ripa Blu: a public space dedicated to sustainability, with the presence of associations, companies and organisations active across different fields.

Participants included FIDAS — the Italian Federation of Blood Donors; Velettrica, engaged in the development of electric nautical propulsion; ISDE — Doctors for the Environment; Six Senses Rome, with an experiential workshop; ORMA, supporting families of children with cancer; and ORTO — NaturaSì, with a refreshment offering linked to organic farming and short supply chains.

On the sporting side, the Circolo Canottieri Ondina took victory by a fraction of a second, at the end of a closely fought finish. Around the regatta, Ripa Blu gave space to themes directly relevant to the quality of the environment and communities: health, food, nautical mobility, environmental education and social responsibility.

The Almaviva Blu Race is two things at once — a race and a conversation. Built around the river, the clubs and a network of partners united by one cause: protecting our waters.
