AMAREMARE — real protection of the coastal ecosystem
An intervention on the coastline to remove abandoned nets and protect marine wildlife.
piùblu takes part in the AMAREMARE day, organised by the WOW Team and the Lega Navale of Pomezia, with an intervention dedicated to the protection of the coastal environment and raising awareness about microplastics.
The day combines outreach and fieldwork: during the intervention, over 200 metres of abandoned nylon nets are identified and removed — a particularly dangerous presence for marine wildlife and the balance of ecosystems.
The operation reduces a concrete source of pollution and draws attention to the need for targeted, continuous and coordinated interventions. With AMAREMARE, piùblu reaffirms its commitment to transforming environmental awareness into direct care for the local environment and the marine ecosystem.
