piùblu brought its message to one of the most representative contexts in international rowing.piùblu ha portato il suo messaggio in uno dei contesti più rappresentativi del canottaggio internazionale.
On 18 October, piùblu ets took part in the Head of the Charles in Boston — one of the most significant regattas on the international rowing calendar.
For the occasion, piùblu formed a Masters Women’s Eight crew, bringing its presence to a context that brings together clubs, athletes and rowing communities from countries around the world every year. The participation represented a significant step — not only in sporting terms, but also for the opportunity to present the association’s work to an international audience, keeping at its centre the theme of water protection and the fight against plastic and microplastics.
The stay in Boston also made it possible to observe at close quarters the relationship between a major city, its river and the sporting community that uses it every day. The exchange with local organisations offered useful insights into how the care of an urban river environment can become part of the ordinary life of clubs, institutions and citizens.
The participation in the Head of the Charles marked an expansion of piùblu’s journey, opening an international dialogue consistent with the work already under way in Italy and founded on sport, environmental responsibility and concrete attention to the quality of our waters.
