THANK YOU FLORENCE!
The river Arno is cleaner thanks to the clean-up action promoted by piùblu, with the participation of volunteers from A.S.D. Canottieri Comunali Firenze and Società Canottieri Firenze.
On the occasion of World Rivers Day, over 50 volunteers rallied to the motto “WE CAN BLU IT!” and engaged in a thorough collection of dispersed plastic waste. Travelling by rowing boat, canoe and dragon boat, and on foot along the cycle path on the riverbanks, they recovered over 2 m³ of waste and a considerable amount of bulky plastic material in approximately three hours.
We are already working on new collective awareness-raising initiatives. In the meantime, below you will find a collection of all the clean-up videos.
If you have others, we invite you to send them to us: we will be happy to publish them here.
A huge thank you to everyone!
YOU CAN BLU IT TOO!
