Explora — making the invisible visible

A workshop on microplastics to learn to recognise what does not appear on the surface.

The collaboration between piùblu ets and Explora — the Children’s Museum of Rome continues, with an educational workshop dedicated to the theme of microplastics.

Through the simulation of four different beaches — from the visibly polluted to the apparently pristine — children are guided through an observation process that invites them to look beyond what appears on the surface. Games, experiments and interactive activities reveal an aspect that is often difficult to perceive: even environments that appear cleanest can conceal a significant presence of microplastics.

The workshop helps younger participants to observe more carefully, ask questions and recognise the impact of a form of pollution that is often invisible, yet now present in ecosystems and in everyday life.
