A Piediluco, piùblu ha lavorato affinché la sostenibilità entrasse nelle scelte operative della manifestazione.
On 18 and 19 October, on the occasion of the International Green Regatta — Memorial Paolo d’Aloja, an international 500-metre competition organised by the Italian Rowing Federation, piùblu ets participated in the activities held at Piediluco with an intervention focused on reducing single-use plastic and caring for the spaces used during the event.
For the first time, the event eliminated single-use plastic bottles provided to athletes, replacing them with reusable water bottles — an apparently simple choice, but a significant one in organisational terms.
The activity continued on the lake with a clean-up carried out using two Dragon Boats and involving two schools. 3 kg of plastic were collected — a modest figure, but one that offers a positive indication of the state of the area and of the protection work carried out over time.
Federation staff also took part in a clean-up of the technical area, where only a single bag of waste was collected — a figure that, in its small size, is meaningful: it reflects an already well-managed environment and a participation that extends to those who contribute to the operational management of the event.
At Piediluco, through measurable choices, shared behaviours and concrete attention to the spaces in which the regatta takes place, piùblu made sustainability part of the ordinary organisation of the event.
