Varese — Youth Festival
At the Youth Festival, piùblu met rowing clubs and the next generation of rowers.
From 11 to 13 July, piùblu ets took part in the Youth Festival in Varese — one of the most significant events on the junior rowing calendar.
As sustainability coordinator for the Italian Rowing Federation, piùblu ets participated in the event and contributed to the prize-giving ceremonies for individual races and the 7.20 class — an occasion that strengthened relationships with clubs, coaches, athletes and families.
The presence at the festival made it possible to connect with dozens of rowing clubs and hundreds of young athletes, and to spread awareness about the protection of water among a community where sporting education and environmental responsibility can engage in direct dialogue.
A demonstration clean-up was also organised during the event, with the collection of approximately one cubic metre of plastic and waste — a modest but meaningful gesture, which made the presence of pollution visible even in well-frequented, well-maintained environments linked to sporting activity.
