We are delighted to share a wonderful article published on the occasion of the final stage of the Filippi Beach Sprint Trophy in Castagneto Carducci, in which our volunteers played a central role.
Just days before World Environment Day, piùblu was invited to take part in this important international sporting event, bringing its message of environmental protection and the fight against plastic pollution to the beach. Even in a well-maintained setting like the beach hosting the competition, microplastics are present — and this reminds us how important it is to keep raising awareness and taking action.
Five volunteers, themselves involved in the competitions, took the opportunity to engage athletes from numerous nations in a concrete demonstration of applied ecology. By handing over the piùblu flag, they extended an invitation to actively participate in protecting the environment, with a particular focus on the initiative of 28 and 29 September, when we will be dedicated to cleaning the waterways frequented by rowers.
